The sequence needs to be agreed around the specific countertop, cabinets and tile. Tell us which items are being changed so the layout and junctions can be coordinated.
Can you remove the old backsplash?
Include removal in the request. The existing material and wall condition affect preparation, disposal and the work needed before new tile is set.
What about outlets and exposed tile edges?
Photograph the outlets, cabinet ends and corners. Tile thickness, edge trims and any electrical changes should be identified before installation.
